Stephanie and Kevin had a colorful and romantic Morais Vineyards wedding. Despite tying the knot during the pandemic, 90 of their closest friends were able to attend their wedding.
There are so many things I loved about this wedding and the planning journey! First off, I developed a friendship with Stephanie. We laughed, prayed, and teared up together. Also, both Stephanie and Kevin’s life experience is so interesting. Incidentally, many elements of their color palette, florals, food and wedding cake design reflected who they are and what they’ve been through.
A definite favorite moment of the big day was surprising Kevin with a live performance by Brian Nhira, his favorite singer. I can still picture Kevin doing a double take when he heard Brian singing as he “emerged” from among the guests. It was a beautiful moment that took a lot of preparation and coordination, including setting up a rehearsal with Brian (who flew in from out of town), the harpist and violinist just a few hours prior to the wedding. We also had to make sure that Kevin wouldn’t see Brian at the venue before the ceremony! In the end, Kevin was extremely surprised and happy.
