Since the first moment I met Melissa and Danny, I knew their wedding guests would be in for a treat. Having dreamed of a Beauty and the Beast-themed wedding for the longest time, Melissa asked BodaMaestra to deliver the fairytale-inspired event.  And that’s what we did…horse and carriage included!

Their choice of venue was 2941 Restaurant in Falls Church, VA.  With its meticulously cared-for gardens that feature an exotic Koi pond, 2941 was the perfect choice for Melissa and Danny.  We teamed up with Bryan Swann of Karin’s Florist to help bring their theme to life.  Tall candelabras, abundant greenery, and Melissa’s favorite colors, purple and lavender hues, made for an elegant and eye-pleasing atmosphere.  Roses – Melissa’s choice as the focal element of the entire wedding design – were prominently featured throughout the day.

Holy Rosary Catholic Church was chosen as their ceremony site.  Founded in 1913 and well known as Washington, D.C.’s only Catholic Italian parish, Father Ezzio celebrated a bilingual mass so both families could feel connected to the celebration of the sacrament.  With guests coming all the way from Peru, Melissa felt it was essential to have a Spanish misal.  Danny’s aunts read the first and second readings in English, while the Spanish version was included in the program.
