In this post, we’ll give you a few tips for summer weddings at Morais Vineyards, a place BodaMaestra has come to call a second home 🙂 Since 2015, we’ve had the privilege of planning many weddings at this beautiful vineyard, including during peak summer season, a very popular time to host a wedding in Northern Virginia.
Ceremony Weddings can be Indoor or Outdoor at Morais
We’ve learned that the only thing we can’t script or plan for is the weather. For this reason, we ask our couples very early in the process how comfortable they are with the idea of a summer wedding. This helps us to understand how amenable they are to hot and humid conditions – and to prepare accordingly if they choose to hold their event at this time of year. When heat (or rain for that matter!) is an issue, Morais Vineyards offers the option of holding the ceremony in the ballroom, which can then be flipped for the reception during cocktail time. Another tip? You can use Morais’ chivari chairs, which look so good!

Summer Wedding Pictures
Whether you have a “first look” or not, prepare yourself, family and wedding party to be outdoors for some gorgeous summer wedding pictures. The grounds at Morais Vineyards look incredibly stunning during summer, and while you may have to brave the heat, the wedding shots you’ll get will be cherished for years to come. Having water bottles handy and some shade is essential while people take turns for their pictures. Another great summer tip is to have a pre-ceremony drink ready for your guests.
