It’s no secret that Morais Vineyards & Winery is one of our favorite wedding Venues. From the moment you pass through the property gates and see the gorgeous vines, you know you’re in for a treat. As Northern Virginia wedding planners who’ve been a preferred vendor since 2015, we’ve planned and designed many weddings at Morais Vineyards. Wedding Planner Q&A
All about Morais Vineyards & Winery in Bealeton, VA
WHY DO YOU LOVE WORKING AT THIS VENUE?
We love working at Morais Vineyards because of their elegance and simplicity. Their neutral colors: champagne, gold, and beige undertones give us the flexibility to design the space for our clients with classic or trendy color palettes. It’s fascinating to see how each of our weddings looks so different from one another.
WHAT IS SPECIAL ABOUT MORAIS VINEYARDS?
There are more than a few things that are special about Morais Vineyards. For starters, I love the countless photo ops! There are so many beautiful spots on the vineyard grounds. Needless to say, a great photographer is a must. Also, as a planner, I value a venue that has options to hold a ceremony. While many of our couples get married at the outdoor pergola, we’ve done indoor ceremonies multiple times. You can also use the Green House and the ballroom itself. And if you’d like an intimate ceremony, you can use the chapel. No matter your choice, every spot is gorgeous.
WHAT TYPE OF COUPLE WOULD YOU RECOMMEND THIS VENUE TO?
Most of our couples who get married at Morais Vineyards are wine lovers and foodies. They are also detail oriented and are looking to delight and surprise their guests. They all value the experience of the wedding day, including having our support from the start. Our couples are diverse, family oriented, and like having a good time.
HOW MUCH DOES A WEDDING AT MORAIS VINEYARDS COST?
The best way to estimate the cost of a wedding is doing the calculations per guest. Our clients typically start at $700 per guest. This includes the venue rental, photo, video, florals, entertainment, food & beverage, and wedding-planning services. The budget will vary depending on your top priorities. If live music is a must-have, the cost will be significantly higher than having a DJ. If you’re not a person who values having a big wedding cake, you can opt for a smaller option or a dessert table, which will lower the cost accordingly.
ANY “INSIDER” TIPS FOR WEDDINGS AT MORAIS VINEYARDS?
Preparing before the venue walkthrough is key. As part of BodaMaestra’s services, we prepare a draft timeline, the vendor list, and a suggested floor plan (depending on your estimated guest count and the additional vendors you’re bringing in, i.e. photobooth, DJ, live performers, etc.). We also discuss our design plan to make sure our clients understand the placement of special installations and decor. We make sure we look at every detail way in advance.
